The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA, under the banner of Adelaide Showground, is once again proud to support the Premier’s Food Awards. The Society continues to nurture emerging South Australian food businesses, through the presentation of Taste SA at the Royal Adelaide Show, in conjunction with PIRSA over the past 7 years.

The Adelaide Showground has been named Best Speciality Venue at this year’s SA Meetings and Events Industry Awards. The win comes as the Adelaide Showground undergoes a $42 million expansion, including an 8,000 square-metre exhibition space and 16,000mē outside entertainment area. The state-of-the-art facility will accommodate 4,000 people for dinner, will feature a 1,500mē gallery and 2,000 onsite car parks. The project also embraces environmental initiatives including energy saving design characteristics in the new building and underground water tanks designed to store 3,500,000 litres of water captured from the new development’s extensive roof space.
