Aim

The Award recognises the manner in which the business manages the environmental, social and economic aspects of its operations and the degree to which these aspects are sustainable.

Criteria

Business is a South Australian food or beverage business that produces finished food products.
Systematic assessment of potential environmental, social and economic impacts.
Process for identifying priority issues.
Clearly identifiable management practices and procedures that address environmental, social and economic sustainability.
Evidence of managing the identified environmental, social and economic issues.

Questions

1. Provide a description of the potential environmental, social and economic impacts (both positive and negative) of your business management practices on a) the local environment and b) the community environment.
2. How have you assessed the relative importance of the impacts identified in Question 1?
3. What measures have you taken to address your priority issues?
4. Describe how your management of environmental, social and economic issues has been integrated into all parts of the business to ensure the ongoing sustainability.
5. Describe how your use of sustainable practices has given your business and products an advantage in the market?
