Food Adelaide Value Adding Awards (less than 15 FTE or greater than 15 FTE)

Aim

These Awards recognise businesses that have improved the value of their product to customers through value adding. 

Criteria

Business is a South Australian food or beverage business that produces finished food products.
Business must employ the following number of FTEs for each category (less than 15 FTE or greater than 15 FTE)
Evidence of value adding process along the value chain.
Evidence of market opportunity for the value added products.
Evidence of market penetration.
Evidence of sales.

1. How many FTEs are employed in your business?
2. How do you add value to your products? Where did the value adding start?
3. How did you identify value adding opportunities for your business?
4. Describe all the areas along the value chain where you add value to your product?
5. Describe how value adding distinguishes your product from competitors? How do you sustain your competitive advantage?
6. How do you measure the success of your business’ value adding activities across the value chain?
- Internally (eg training programs, new functions, best practice, cost savings)
- Externally (eg customers and consumers)
7. What percentage growth in sales by quarter over the last 12 months has been achieved from value adding?
