SARDI Innovation Award
Aim
The Award recognises a businesses innovative thinking and practices in the development of products, packaging or processing to gain commercial advantage.
Criteria
Business is a South Australian food or beverage business that produces finished food products.
Initiative must have been ongoing for at least 12 months.
Evidence of innovation driven in response to consumers and the market.
Evidence of the strategy and approach used in the development of a new product, packaging or process.
Evidence of commercial advantage gained.
Evidence of the technical or scientific challenges addressed.
Evidence of sales.
Questions
1. Provide an example of successful innovation in your business. Give consideration to the process undertaken to develop the innovation. - How did the innovation evolve? - What approach was taken to develop the innovation? - How has the innovation been integrated into the business and commercialised?
2. What percentage of growth occurred over the last 12 months as a result of the innovation initiative?
