Conditions of entry

The following terms and conditions apply to all entrants of the Premier’s Food Awards.

  1. Applicants must be a South Australian food or beverage business that produces finished food products with the exception with the exception of finished beer and wine products. Businesses that provide goods and services which contribute directly to the growth of South Australia’s finished food and beverage businesses and the industry may also apply for the KPMG Young Leader Award and the Rural Solutions SA Services to Industry Award.
  2. Franchises are not eligible to enter unless the main franchise head office is based in South Australia.
  3. The business head office must be based in South Australia and more than 50% of business production must be in South Australia.
  4. Winners from 2007 are ineligible to enter in the same Award category in 2008.
  5. No more than two categories can be entered by any one business.
  6. Closing date for entries is 5pm Friday 1 August 2008. No late applications will be accepted.
  7. Applicants must meet all entry criteria as outlined under each Award category.
  8. Applicants who become finalists must agree to host the judging panel at an on-site interview and may be required to provide further documentation.
  9. The Government of South Australia reserves the right to use non-confidential details and/or photographs for publicity purposes pertaining to the Awards.
  10. Media releases will be distributed to all media. Media may request interviews and photographs of winners and finalists and their business or products.
  11. Acknowledgement of applications will be by letter, email or telephone.
  12. Please include three copies of your application with your original. No folders or plastic covers please.
  13. All applications are treated with the strictest confidence.
