Wine

Welcome to our new wine sponsor, Bird in Hand. In 1997, viticulturalist and winemaker Andrew Nugent planted vines and an olive grove on 100 acres at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills. He named his venture “Bird in Hand” after the historic goldmine that operated nearby in the 1850’s. There are three tiers of wine ranging from the “Two in the Bush” wines to be enjoyed now through to the premium “Bird in Hand” wines suitable for cellaring and finishing with the “Nest Egg” – the finest wines only made from outstanding vintages. With a strong commitment to producing elegant, cool climate wines and their commitment to becoming a World Class winery, Bird in Hand wines are unashamedly for the discerning wine drinker, and a selection of their wines will be available at the Awards presentation gala dinner for your enjoyment.
