The ‘Journey to Brilliance’ began with the launch of the Ninth Annual South Australian Premier’s Food Awards on 14 June. Rory McEwen, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries unveiled this year’s theme of ‘Sheer Brilliance’ to more than 60 VIP guests and food industry leaders. Brilliance was everywhere with the awards being launched at pureENVY Jewellery store, Monjava Coffee prepared by the State Barista Champion Candy Weiss and a cocktail breakfast by John and Justine of The Greedy Goose. A tantilizing range of delicacies including coffee crème brulee, oysters with champagne jelly and Parisian fruit salad were served along with Petaluma’s Croser sparkling wine. It was also announced that one lucky guest at this year's Awards Presentation Gala Dinner will win an exclusive one-off diamond and pearl necklace designed by Scott Anthony from pureENVY, valued at over $1850.
