Winners announced for 2007 Awards
The winners of this year’s 10th anniversary Premier’s Food Awards demonstrate the creativity and innovation of the SA food industry, says Agriculture Food and Fisheries Minister, Rory McEwen. A highlight of this year’s Awards was the KPMG Young Leader Award to Stephan Knoll for his contribution to industry as Chair of Flavour SA and as a member of the Premier’s Food Council. Mr Knoll, aged 24, is General Manager of Barossa Fine Foods, a family owned and operated business specialising in smallgoods and meats. Also Bickford’s Australia, a 168 year old food industry leader, was inducted into the South Australian Food Industry Hall of Fame made possible by Coopers Brewery by Premier, Mike Rann. Bickford’s Australia is a world class beverage manufacturer of quality cordials, soft drinks, waters and fruit juices.

Finalists announced for tenth awards
Indigenous bush food, mussels ready for the pot and hand-made gourmet cheese highlight some of the locally made delights on offer in this year’s SA Premier’s Food Awards. This year's finalists for the awards, highlight some of the most creative and innovative leaders in the state’s food sector. Awards presentation gala dinner
The stage is set for a gala ten year celebration and the announcement of the winners of The Tenth Annual South Australian Premier’s Food Awards. Join the hundreds of attendees and dine on the State’s finest food produced by this year’s winners and finalists with a five course menu matched to superb wine from Coriole Vineyards. All winners and this year’s Hall of Fame inductee will be announced at a show stopping night hosted by Premier Mike Rann on Friday 16 November at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Master of Ceremonies will be Joanna Savill from TV’s ‘The Food Lovers Guide to Australia’ with star entertainment from Rhonda Burchmore who will be singing a special rendition of this year’s theme ‘there’s no business like food business’ plus Lucifer's Lounge playing lounge cabaret in the Kudos Club.
