Following the completion of a $50 million investment in new and upgraded facilities, the Adelaide Showground has been renamed Adelaide Event & Exhibition Centre (AEEC). The new brand reflects a venue that is now one of the largest and most modern exhibition centres in Australia. It is also one of the world’s greenest, being 100% self-sufficient in water and electricity. Our premium facilities and outstanding service are thriving on the delivery of a complete positive experience to the public and event organisers.

The expansion includes an 8,000 square-metre exhibition space and 16,000mē outside entertainment area. The state-of-the-art facility will accommodate 4,000 people for dinner, will feature a 1,500mē gallery and 2,000 onsite car parks. The project also embraces environmental initiatives including energy saving design characteristics in the new building and underground water tanks designed to store 3,500,000 litres of water captured from the new development’s extensive roof space

The AEEC offers a flexible and versatile range of venues ideal for public events, catered functions, conferences, exhibitions and trade shows. With national award-winning caterers and a dedicated event team, the AEEC has the capability to host virtually any style of event and to expertly service gala dinners. The AEEC enjoys an inner city location on the south-western corner of the city, just five minutes from the CBD, fifteen minutes from the Airport and serviced by major arterial roads and public transport.

The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA, under the banner of Adelaide Event & Exhibition Centre, is once again proud to support the Premier’s Food Awards. The Society continues to nurture emerging South Australian food businesses, through the presentation of Taste SA at the Royal Adelaide Show, in conjunction with PIRSA over the past years.
