Australian Quality Plus is a new export company, trading to Middle Eastern Markets particularly Dubai since 2004. They have developed a customised world-class demand chain system for foodservice that enhances Australia’s export competitiveness by providing to 5-star hotels, executive chefs, and purchasing and beverage managers. Australian Quality Plus employs eight staff and services 115 companies in Australia.
The judges selected Australian Quality Plus as the winner for the following reasons:
- Their intelligent and strategic market selection and entry strategy. AQP have focussed on the burgeoning 5 star hotel foodservice market in Dubai;
- A strong customer driven approach guides their development of business processes and solutions;
- They have a systematic approach to marketing including relationship management, logistics and just-in-time delivery;
- Strong planning, forecasting and management disciplines
- Very significant sales success achieved in a difficult market where quality Australian food products have historically had little success and commodities have predominated. AQP has been an essential partner in enabling Australian suppliers to grow their Middle East business.
