Established in 2000, Clean Seas Tuna is part of The Stehr Group, and operates marine finfish hatcheries and a number of sea cage grow out operations. Their core business is the propagation of commercially bred Mulloway and Kingfish for the domestic and international markets with production of these increasing from 900 tonnes in 2006 to 2000 tonnes currently. 80% of sales are exported to Europe, South East Asia and North America with the product recognised as premium quality in the hospitality and 5 star hotel sectors.

Clean Seas Tuna lead by its Chairman Hagen Stehr AO is changing the way seafood products are being exported. By controlling the lifecycle of the fish and removing the supply irregularities, Clean Seas Tuna are able to provide a consistent line of seafood products of various specifications to their customers around the world. Clean Seas Tuna have committed to the very challenging European market by implementing best practice ISO 14001 environmental quality management system. ISO14001 combined with Clean Seas Tuna’s consistent production system places it as a world leading seafood supplier. Clean Seas Tuna have appointed an in market representative in Europe to ensure direct and ongoing contact with customers. Clean Seas Tuna is not only leading the Australian industry, but also the Global industry in export development.
